Fort Myers & Sanibel Fishing Charters FAQ
What is included with my trip?
Every Fort Myers & Sanibel fishing charter includes all rods and reels, tackle, bait, fishing licenses and required safety gear. We also provide a cooler with ice for your drinks and snacks. You just bring your personal items and we’ll handle the fishing side of things.
What should we pack for the day?
Bring polarized sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, drinks, snacks and any personal items you need for a few hours on the water. Light, breathable clothing and non-marking shoes work best. We’ll provide all fishing gear and safety equipment for your Fort Myers & Sanibel fishing charter.
How do you handle rough weather?
Safety is always the top priority on our Fort Myers & Sanibel fishing charters. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll reschedule or cancel the trip rather than risk your safety. For marginal weather, we may adjust the start time, location or type of trip to keep you comfortable while still giving you a good day on the water.
Is the vessel safe for small kids?
Yes. Our boat is stable and equipped with all required safety gear, including life jackets for kids. We welcome families with children and are happy to adjust the pace of the trip to keep younger anglers comfortable and engaged. For very young kids, a 4 hour inshore charter or 3 hour eco tour is usually the best fit.

Best Time for Fort Myers & Sanibel Fishing
Fishing in Fort Myers and Sanibel is good year-round, but certain seasons are better for specific species. Spring and early summer are prime time for tarpon, while snook, redfish and sea trout bite well through much of the year depending on weather and water temperatures. In the cooler months, when water temps drop into the 60s and below, we often focus on sheepshead and other cold-tolerant species that make great table fare. When you contact Chum Crazy Charters, we’ll let you know what’s been biting lately and recommend the best inshore or nearshore fishing charter for your dates.
